Injection mold repair and laser welding<\/h2>\n

Damage to an injection mold does not always require a new insert or extensive disassembly. Precision laser welding can rebuild localized defects, damaged edges and worn areas. Its low, controlled heat input helps maintain dimensional accuracy, even in sensitive mold zones.<\/p>\n

A repair is only complete when the restored area blends both technically and visually into the surrounding cavity surface. Depending on the damage and existing finish, our process may include:<\/p>\n

  1. Assessment of the damage, mold steel and existing texture<\/li>\n
  2. Selection of a compatible filler material and controlled material build-up<\/li>\n
  3. Restoration of contours and edges to the required geometry<\/li>\n
  4. Polishing or adjustment to the specified surface roughness<\/li>\n
  5. Restoration of the etched or laser-textured pattern, followed by final quality inspection<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Evaluate repair before replacing the component<\/h2>\n

    Dents, chips, scratches and engineering changes can often be repaired cost-effectively.
